Description

Please check our website for the available dates and times for the dates. Please check the online calendar, for up-to-date opening days and hours.

Your ticket will give you access to the Elmley National Nature Reserve for the times shown above.

If you cannot make your booked slot, please message 07931 315271. No-shows will be recorded, and memberships cancelled with repeat offences.

Enjoy a safari experience on the two mile entry track through roaming cattle, winding waterways and wildlife. Keep an eye out for Hares, Marsh Harriers, egrets, Lapwings and Redshank.

From the car park you are welcome to walk along the marked nature trails through the Reserve.

Notes:

So you don’t disturb the wildlife please stay in your car on the entry track. You can use your car as a hide and have a wonderful view of the wildlife.
Please only use the marked nature trails to walk on.
There is plenty of car parking in the visitor car park.
The barn and accommodation areas are for overnight guests only. More information on staying is here
You can picnic on the benches past the car park (please just take your rubbish with you).
Unfortunately no dogs, except Registered Assistance dogs, are permitted on site.

Ticket purchasing:

Tickets are available to purchase online in advance here.
When booking online the total order price is to be paid in advance on this system.
Payment is by credit or debit card through Stripe, a secure card processing system.
You must enter the correct number of visitors in your party and the vehicle you will use to visit, otherwise you may be refused admittance.

Ticket pricing:

Tickets are per person (not per car).
Two children (16 years and under) per adult are admitted free of charge. Please note the number of children on the booking form.
Carers admittance is free, proof must be provided upon entry.
The ticket price includes VAT at 20%
Existing Friends of Elmley have been issued with a Unique Personal Code for ticket orders. This may only be used by the Friend of Elmley themselves. Membership will be cancelled if the code has been used by other parties.

Cancellation policy:

This is a non-refundable and non-transferable ticket:
If you are not able to come on your booked day for whatever reason, no refunds can be given
If we are not able to host your visit you will be given a full refund. Please note we are entitled to cancel your booking if we are not able to host you for any reason. We will not be liable for any costs you incur (such as travel expenses) should we cancel your visit.

Arrival and Timings:

Please arrive at the Elmley Entrance Gate
The entry gate will be staffed by our team or volunteer warden. When pre-booking a ticket you will be asked to give your vehicle details, the volunteer at the gate will then be able to confirm your ticket order from a safe distance. If you have any questions, please ask through the window.
The warden at the gate will confirm the correct number of tickets corresponding to your vehicle. If all visitors are in the same car and all have to depart there will be no refund on the paid for tickets.
Please ensure you have left the Reserve gates by the close time. The gate automatically closes.

Should any staff, volunteers or wardens, deem your or any of your parties behaviours unacceptable or disruptive to the wildlife, other visitors, guests or staff members, you will be asked to leave without a refund of your ticket.

Note

To enable the administration of this system monies are collected by Elmley Enterprises Ltd. The Elmley Nature Reserve Community Interest Company (the not for profit company which administers day visitor access) will invoice Elmley Enterprises for the total amount collected from Day Visitor tickets.
