Description

Discover more about birds, and other fauna and flora, and improve your skills on our beginner to advanced courses.

We run regular courses throughout the year delivered by expert tutors, and follow a framework to progress your learning at a level to suit you. All of our courses comprise indoor taught sessions and outdoor practicals, putting what we have learned into practice. There will be some outdoor elements regardless of the time of year/weather.

The meeting point for this tour will be at the Guided Tour Meeting Point, by the benches outside Kingshill Barn - please ask staff for confirmation if you are unsure.

If arriving outside of Reserve opening times, and you are not staying at the Reserve, please be aware that you have access to the Reserve from closing until the Tour start time. If arriving after closing, please use the intercom at the entrance gate to access the Reserve. On exiting the Reserve, our Guide will need to let you out the main gate, so please respect other participants and our Guide whilst provisions are made. We will aim to open the Gate as soon as possible.

Terms and Conditions

Please note that we cannot guarantee any wildlife sightings on this tour, however, your guide will take you on a trail where sightings are most reliable.

Please ensure you are wearing sensible walking footwear for off-track conditions, and weather appropriate outwear (Elmley is an exposed coastal site so prepare with at least a couple of layers regardless of the forecast).

Please arrive at the location specified on your booking confirmation no later than 10 minutes before the tour is due to start.

All tours are non-smoking or vaping events, please enjoy the fresh open air.

We encourage you to bring your own camera. Binoculars are available from our guide

You are expected to carry your own viewing equipment and clothing.

When the duration of tour is mentioned, it is an approximate measure and your experience may differ on the day.

Actual tour timings may vary, due to reserve conditions and wildlife. Your tour guide will contact you with any changes.

Tickets are non-refundable, unless there are extenuating circumstance, which is at the discretion of the tour guide and Elmley representatives.

Cancellation of the tour due to weather conditions is at the guide's discretion. If we judge that the tour is not possible due to very poor weather conditions the guide will contact you to go ahead to rearrange or process a refund.

Bookings can be rescheduled up to 48 hours prior to the date of tour booking, but may incur an admin fee. Please call the main office on 01795 664896 to re-arrange to a preferred date.

Please ensure you come prepared with drinking water.

Elmley reserve the right to ask any participant to leave, should their behaviour be deemed inappropriate, or unsafe. In such case, refunds will not be given.

It is your responsibility to inform us of any medical conditions in advance, that we should be aware of.

We reserve the right to cancel your tour should you arrive more than 10 minutes after the start time. In this circumstance we will not refund or reschedule. If the tour goes ahead, this time will be deducted from your tour and no partial refund will be issued.

During a vehicle experience, you must remain in the vehicle at all times, unless your guide informs you otherwise.

For all tours, you must follow all instructions given by our guides.
