Author Event: Penny Chrimes

We are excited to welcome children’s author Penny Chrimes who will be speaking about her new book Wilder here at Elmley during half term.

Penny will be reading extracts from her latest book, chatting to our nature guide Abbie about the birds of prey that can be spotted at Elmley, and there will also be the chance to make bird fat balls to hang up in our nearby woodland.

Penny is a regular visitor to Elmley and wrote some of her latest book whilst staying with us. Her books are inspired by walking and experiencing both the natural world and the human history all around us.

Wilder is a beautiful and enthralling adventure about love, belonging and the delicate balance of nature and the wildness within us all. It is aimed at readers aged 8+

The event will last approximately an hour, and advanced booking is encouraged.

Signed copies of Wilder are available to buy.

Suitable for children over 5, and each child must have purchased a ticket. Please note all children must be accompanied by an adult, who must purchase an entrance ticket for the reserve.
